First time buyers tend to purchase homes around the town centre, whereas families often heard to one of the outlying modern estates; Wistaton, Coppenhall, or Sydney. For a more rural feel, cast an eye around Shavington and Haslington.
The rental market in Crewe is strong, particularly for terraced homes and 3-bed semis. Town centre terraces will cost upwards of £425 pcm, with 3-bed semis coming in at £525 to £550 pcm. Larger detached properties hover around £650 to £850, and larger houses in the popular villages can be upwards of £1000 pcm dependant on number of bedrooms and condition.

Schools in Crewe
There are a number of fantastic nursery and primary schools in Crewe, as well as eight secondary schools. Up to the age of 16, educational facilities are strong. However, the only school offering further education in Crewe is South Cheshire College. The college also provides educational programmes for adults, leading to qualifications such as Higher National Diplomas and foundation degrees.
Part of Crewe has been rebranded the University Quadrant and is home to Manchester Metropolitan University’s (MMU) Cheshire campus. It provides undergraduate and postgraduate courses in five areas: business and management, arts, sports science, interdisciplinary studies, and teacher training.
Transport Links Crewe
Crewe is located on the main Western Mainline with direct services to London Euston (1 hour 43 minutes), Birmingham (59 minutes), Manchester (54 minutes), Liverpool (38 minutes), Preston (42 minutes), Glasgow Central (3 hours 8 minutes), and Edinburgh (3 hours 13 minutes). The train station is a 25-minute walk from the town centre, but the 85 bus runs frequently between the two.
In terms of bus services, Crewe is well served. There are great connections to Nantwich (44, 45, 84), Sandbach (37, 38), Congleton and Middlewich (84). Services are run by Cheshire Busline and more information on times and services can be found via them.
Surrounded by three A roads, and the M6 to the east, Crewe is well connected by road. Manchester, Chester, Stoke-on-Trent, and Liverpool are all under an hours’ drive away in good traffic.
