About Us

Britannia GBS Solutions Limited, (Formally George Bernard Shaw Removals), was established in 1985 in direct response to local demand for a professional domestic removal and storage company. We provide a flexible, cost-effective domestic removal service, along with secure storage facilities.

We pride ourselves on being able to provide a “one-stop-shop” and “tailor-made” relocation service.

The company operates mainly in the Northeast and throughout the United Kingdom; we also operate a weekly London & European service and have the capability to ship worldwide through our strategic partners within the Britannia organisation.

Under the leadership of David Atkin, our Managing Director, the company has steadily expanded its services and its customer base, to encompass a wide range of activities including Archive Document Storage, Document & Data Management, Shredding and Destruction along with Scanning. We have recently established a Commercial Relocation Department, again, in a direct response to local market demands.

Under the policies established within our Environmental Certification, and in conjunction with a number of other measures, we are undertaking a renewal program of our existing vehicle fleet to provide the company with Zero-Carbon Status by 2012.

Although the company has grown rapidly during the past few years, we are proud of the fact that we still provide a ‘personal service’ with customer satisfaction a priority. We consider our customers to be part of a two way partnership. All work is carried out by our experienced, highly trained staff. We consider that our staff to be our most valuable asset and consequently as a matter of policy; GBS has very strict regulations with regard to conduct and disciplinary standards.

All our staff have been screened under BS 7858 and CRB checked.
