Britannia W Harris began life as Moovit Transport Services in 1967, when John and Christine Wicks set up their removal business with a large shed and one vehicle. From humble beginnings, this family run removals and storage business has steadily expanded and now comprises of two container warehouses, a self storage facility, 10 vehicles and over 20 members of staff. John Wicks is still actively involved in the day to day running of the business along with his son Thomas who joined the company in 1995.
A year after John and Christine started the business, W.Harris of Chelmsford, established in the 1920's, was acquired. In 1970 the company then joined the British Association of Removers (BAR) and in 1989 W.Harris Moovit joined Britannia Movers International enhancing the company's domestic and international removal operations.
In 2000, Britannia W.Harris were awarded the European Standards BS EN 12522 for excellence in removals, we were the first company in Essex to achieve this award. The Prestigious BSI Kitemark followed in 2005, so you can rest assured that you are dealing with the UK's market leaders in removals and storage.
