From amazing Christmas markets to historical city centres made even more magical by Christmas lights, to ice rinks and Christmas processions, European cities have a lot to offer when it comes to celebrating Christmas. 

Are you an expat planning to spend the Christmas holidays in Europe? While the celebrations will certainly not be exactly like they are in the UK, there are many common elements in different regions, including Christmas trees, lights, Christmas stockings and the singing of Christmas songs. And most importantly, wherever Christmas is celebrated in the world, it is a festive season when families and close friends gather to enjoy the holidays and spend  quality time together.

When you first move to a new country it's important to get a grasp of what's going on so you know where to go and what to do. One of the best times to do this is a Sunday afternoon, why? You don't have work, lots of people are out, and Sunday is the day of rest so it's a great time to relax.

This week we thought we'd have a look at five things you should do on a Sunday afternoon in Berlin. (You could go to these places on any day of the week, but for the purposes of this blog post, we reckon Sunday is best).
