Moving to Portugal
If you are planning on moving to Portugal, whether to Lisbon, Porto or Faro, Britannia Movers International has the expertise and the local knowledge to tailor the move to your individual needs.
Importing Personal Effects to PortugalAs Portugal is a full member of the EU, household effects and personal goods that are over six months old can be imported duty free, provided that you will not export them within one year. All shipments are subject to inspection and must be cleared through the same Customs office. As an EU-citizen, documentation required should be an inventory and a copy of your passport but in some islands they might also ask for a copy of your rental agreement. |

Moving Motor Vehicles to PortugalIf you are moving permanently to Portugal, you may be able to import your motor vehicle tax-free provided you have owned the car for at least 12 months prior to importation. You will also need to submit an application to import your car once you are in Portugal. |
