Dear Kay

I just wanted to let you know that our shipment arrived here on Monday 14th November.  The company here were very good, they came here for 3 days to unpack and take away the packing, I then said to leave the rest as I need to sort out some storage areas for some of the things. They told me that when I was ready to just ring them and they would come and collect any boxes/packing and take it away for me.

I want to say thank you to Appleyards for the good job they did in packing all my worldly goods into the container in Sheffield and to pass on the praise of the men here who said what a good job you had done with the packing, they were very impressed.

I would say that I would use you again but after the past 3 days I do not intend ever moving again!!  But I would certainly recommend you to anyone who I know needs this sort of thing.

Dear Sirs

I am writing to thank you very much for all your help and expertise during my move from France to Dorset at the beginning of last month.

Everything went very smoothly due to Mick and Mark, who were absolutely fantastic. They were so polite and helpful and Simon and I felt that nothing was too much trouble for them even though they must both have been very tired.

They were so careful with all our belongings and nothing was missing, broken or damaged in any way.

Please pass on our sincere thanks to them both, even though these are a little late. We certainly recommend you to anyone who we know is moving house, and we would not hesitate to use your firm again ourselves.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you for all your efforts with the last minute request for your help after our experience with a rogue removal firm. Your guys were polite and extremely helpful in every which way, and nothing was too much trouble. They made the two day move to Cornwall very comforting without any worries. Just wanted to use this space to praise your service! From the moment you first made contact everyone has been extremely helpful. Chris and Matt were brilliant and we can't thank them enough for making the moving experience so easy!!

I am truly grateful to you all for the efficient way you handled my move. You were the first and only removal firm I contacted. I was immediately impressed with your friendliness and helpfulness and didn't bother with any other firms.

Everyone appeared experienced and professional. The packing and loading was done quickly and with the minimum of fuss. The access to my cottage wasn't easy, but the problems were easily solved and everyone was so kind during, for me, a very stressful time. What very hard working, courteous and well motivated staff.

The only improvement I might suggest would be a full set of tools in every van!

I am returning the completed evaluation form and apologies for not doing it sooner, but we have been so busy unpacking all your boxes! Wonderfully, all the empties were picked up yesterday by a local Britannia so it is a brilliant service that you offer.

My father, Tony Harrap, and I would like to say a special thank you to your firm as moving can be one of the most stressful things and this move wasn't! Your colleagues are extremely polite and well-trained and we had a great deal of fun and laughter with the move. Ron started us off well with all the breakables packing and so far we haven't found anything broken, so well done to him. Rob, his son Ben and Mike were very efficient with the packing up of Fernleigh and it was great to see Mike again with Daniel when they arrived in Cromarty.

So a very big 'thank you' to all the team and not forgetting Shane who visited us first and set the whole thing in motion. I would have no hesitation in recommending Lanes to anyone – but I do hope I don't have to do any more moving for many years to come!

Dear MikeWe hope that you can pass on our thanks to your team who moved us from Pinner to Glory Be near Richmond a couple of weeks ago (10th-13th October).Denny Swales and Dave Jackson, along with their helper Rob, were absolutely brilliant. Their unflagging energy and unfailing good humour in very trying circumstances was really impressive. They worked like Trojans, carried huge loads, including an organ across a field between two of them, sloshed through mud, and chugged up our horrible hill countless times in a van that wasn’t happy about the climb.We’d recommend them to anyone who wanted a move to go smoothly and quickly with a team who could handle anything.Best wishesElizabeth and Andrew Bedford
