Grace Dieu Manor School is a rural Catholic day schools for boys and girls aged three to 11 years old, whereas Repton School is for those aged between 13 and 18 for day pupils and boarders.
Days Out in Ashby
A visit to Ashby-de-la-Zouch Castle is a great family day out. Visitors can take an audio tour of the castle, manor house, and picturesque grounds, or take things in at their own pace. Although parts of the castle are ruins, they are magnificent, and you can still scale the tower and walk the secret underground passage between the tower and the kitchen.
Another popular attraction for families is Ashby Museum. Those who visit can immerse themselves in history; dressing up in 17th-century costume and meeting Roman soldiers. Guided walks are a great option for those wanting to fully understand the past of Ashby.
For those who love the outdoors, Hicks Lodge National Forest Cycle Centre is a winner. There are different routes trailing through the beautiful woodland and countryside, with varying levels of cycling difficulty. Alternatively, you can bring the family pooch and stroll along the Family Forest Trail.
