Midlothian is serviced by four stations, Shawfair, Eskbank, Newtongrange and Gorebridge. The Borders Railway runs between Edinburgh and Tweedbank, in the Scottish Borders. Shawfair is the nearest station to Edinburgh on the route, with a journey to the city taking 16 minutes. Gorebridge is the further Midlothian town, with a journey to Edinburgh taking half an hour.
Edinburgh Airport is just an 18-minute drive from Midlothian, ideal for those flying within the UK or Europe. However, Edinburgh Airport is also served by Etihad Airways, who fly to Abu Dhabi.
