Bulletin dated: 10 November 2020
The UK Government has moved swiftly to address any risk of the coronavirus strain discovered in Denmark spreading to British shores. As of 4am GMT Sunday 8th November Freight drivers who are not UK citizens and have been through Denmark in the last fortnight are warned they will be turned away from the British border. Furthermore, all returning drivers who are UK citizens will have to self-isolate for 14 days along with their households.
This naturally will have an impact on Britannia’s services to and from Denmark and where customers have an existing booking we would recommend calling your local office that you have arranged your move with. For ease you can find your local Britannia office by following this link https://www.britannia-movers.co.uk/your-nearest-office or by calling 0845 600 6661
Our priority is to work with the new regulations while keeping customers and crew safe and maintaining as fluent a service as possible in spite of the new restrictions. Britannia are trying very hard to reduce the impact on customers, but there will be inevitably be some potential implications on schedules and costs following enforced reorganisation of our services. Once again, we encourage customers to contact their local office to discuss their situation and how best to approach their individual needs.
On a general basis Britannia will continue to monitor the situation across Europe and should the UK Government announce similar measures for other countries, we will make further announcements across our website and social media channels.
For the time being, we thank all our customers and staff for their patience and understanding.
