Largs is a popular seaside town on the Firth of Clyde in North Ayrshire. There is evidence of human activity in Largs dating back to the Neolithic era and the town is proud of its long history. The iconic “pencil” monument on the coastline commemorates the Battle of Largs of 1263, between the Scots and an invading Norwegian force.
