Fortunately, Ayr has a railway station which runs direct trains to Glasgow roughly every 20 minutes. Journey times range between 45 minutes and 1 hour 1 minute. There are also a number of through trains to Edinburgh. There are also services to Girvan, Kilmarnock and Stranraer.
Glasgow Airport is under 1 hour away and has numerous flights nationally and to destinations in Europe. There are also flights to America, the Caribbean, Asia, Australia, the Middle East, and Africa.
