Those moving to Southampton must remember that the seaside city is home to two universities, the University of Southampton and Southampton Solent University. Transport Links Southampton

As well as the main stations of Southampton Central and Southampton Airport Parkway, the city also has seven stations spanning the local areas. Redbridge, Millbrook, Swaythling, St Denys, Bitterne, Woolston and Sholing all have small stations.

Southampton Airport Parkway is the preceding station to Southampton Central and therefore the majority of services run through both the stations. There are 20 trains per hour, run by four providers. Services carry passengers to London Victoria, London Waterloo, Portsmouth, Brighton, Manchester and Newcastle.
