Used household and personal items can be imported to Italy duty free. New household items, and new furniture are dutiable, and electronic equipment require an import permit. As Italy is a full member of the EU, you will only need a passport to enter the country. An inventory and other customs forms are required to import your household effects and these will be provided by your local Britannia agent.
