I moved from Australia to the UK, and Britannia were very receptive to my changing delivery schedule, which I greatly appreciated. Once I was able to advise a confirmed date, they delivered on time and all my effects were in the same condition as they had been packed in. Correspondence was timely and allowed effective communication between myself and their representative. I would highly recommend Britannia Movers and would use them again.

When moving there is a lot of stress and so much to remember and keep track of. We have had 23 international moves in the past 40 years. So I would say I'm a professional, and able to be good judge of moving companies. This one is one of the top ones I have experienced. From the first email to the last inventory, the service has been fantastic. Always quick to respond and keep you updated on what going on with your stuff, takes a lot of the stress out of life. If you are going to move then this is your company. We have used them in the UK and in our move from Cape Town to Kenya and the service is fantastic worldwide. Thank you so much.

Neil, Danny and Jordan came over today to remove precious family furniture and other items to storage prior to my house move. They were on time and worked fast, but it wasn’t just their efficiency that was so great. It was a difficult day for me, because I was recently widowed. They were sympathetic and fun, plus they made me laugh. Great team.

From start of the first assessment of the house contents to be moved to a new home in a different county , the process was well managed , friendly and professional At all steps of the process from the packing to delivery and then collecting the used boxes it was easy and felt part of the contract Thank you and would recommend the company in the future

Had a completely flawlessly move with Conell & Tony. Both were professional and courteous throughout. Offered up helpful advise for eg not starting the fridge straight away in the house to prevent damage. Carpets were laid down to prevent mess . Really couldn’t ask for more! Thanks so much lads

We have just had the first part of our belongings returned out of storage. Neil asked Chris where superb. They arrived in time, extremely courteous and very patient with us as we are still living in a part building site!! Could not have been more helpful and supportive of our circumstances. Everything handled with care and respect. However, must say we have found all the people we have dealt with – the guys who came and packed up or home in the first place and those in the office – have been very good. Cannot recommend them enough.

Neil and Chris were very professional and friendly. Communication was maintained throughout and our move was made seamless and effortless.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company. My move was accomplished with efficiency care and concern for me as the customer. I had Neil Chris and Sammy and anyone moving house will be exceedingly lucky to get these three” super movers”who made what is a very emotional time so easy with their cheerful and helpful personalities. Nothing is too much to ask. We did a huge move from South of England to North Scotland and these guys were amazing. They took all of the stress out of it and could not have been anymore accommodating. Tony and Conell are an absolute credit to this company.

Conell and Tony arrived ahead of schedule and completed the move (from Berkshire to Northumberland) with great efficiency and care including the transportation of a number of large and delicate houseplants.

Once again I have nothing but praise for the teams today and yesterday. They were hard working, courteous, hugely helpful and gentle with Buzz and all our stuff.

We cannot thank you enough for working with us to complete our move, albeit over 5 days, but it worked!

Jamie, Curtis and Steve worked SO hard, were friendly and respectful of us, our wishes, preferences and property – they really earn their money and we could not fault them!

Nothing was broken or damaged. Unfortunately the lorry was too big to be able to get close to The Smithy so they had to “lug” everything an extra 50 metres across gravel! The relief of this was that we were moving into a single storey home!

We had initially disregarded Britannia because they were so much more expensive than the other companies but in the end you were the only company who actually worked with our timescales and for that we thank you!

That said, this is our first move in 33 years and we will never move house again!

You have one magic team.
Your four guys, I should remember all their names but don’t, trying to transfer electricity, gas, Council Tax, so to describe them.
El Jeffe, the big guy in charge, the chatty one, beard who did loads of work inside, the sexy one, who quietly did loads of work, the blond guy, smaller in stature, but did all the work collecting stuff out from the house. Cute but deadly! Go on, I’ll have a try. Ash, Lee, + 2. Can they remember my name? Super sorry to the other two guys, boo! I have a million issues on my mind.
But my, arrived at 11.00am, slightly earlier than I expected but totally fine, total house removed (although I taped up 33 boxes), but they were fabulous, masks mostly on, I did same.
So impressed, they moved taped boxes out of my front and top windows!
Shrugged off issues like a large sofa, living room chair. I am a cheerleader for all 4 of the guys you sent to Falkland Road. Can you ✋ all of then, I loved them!💕

To start with we were really panicking since we had a very bad experience with one of the removals used by my daughter when she moved to Australia in 2012.From the word go our experience to start and finish with Katie and her team is superb.The guys Marc and Nobby are excellent and they are really friendly but at the same time very professional in their approach and very helpful and knowledgeable. They really deserve some increment or even promotions.They are an asset to your firm.

The BOSS Katie Panton is really helpful and puts us at ease and very approachable.She is really trustworthy and honest.The big boss [her parents] are really lucky to have a daughter like this to look after the business.

Britannia Ryan (London) handled the UK end of our move from Canada recently, and I would like to thank you guys for a wonderful service. We had an unpleasant time with the Canadian handlers, and we were apprehensive that we would get similar treatment this side. Couldn’t have been more wrong.

Not only were they (the removals team) very efficient but very good-humoured and willing to work around us. When my goods were delivered after one month in storage the crew for this procedure were fantastic. They had to make many trips up steep stairs, access difficult corners, were very patient and never complained. They were good-humoured throughout and a credit to your company. I received three quotes from local firms and felt Britannia Goodwin to be a very good value for money as well as having efficient service and good storage arrangements.

The crew are an asset to your organisation.  We chose you because you gave us a comprehensive quotation, Emma was very helpful, strong reviews and reputation, very accommodating with insurance requirements.

It is a big priority to confirm that the crew of Paul Law, Simon Beck and Pete Ainsworth operated in a very polished, competent and empathetic manner. The move was demanding both in terms of items moved and access at collection and delivery. The team handled this very well. They quietly got on with the job and were courteous at all times. I cannot think of anything that could have been done better. No difficulties were raised in the survey with regard to items such as workshop equipment and vehicle parts, or the access at collection and delivery locations. This was not the case with surveys from two competitors whose quotations were considerably higher than Britannia Bradshaw’s. Britannia Bradshaw made enormous extra effort to arrange the move at extremely short notice, brought about by delays further down the chain. In the face of extreme unpredictability, this enabled us to meet the requirements of those above us in the chain and get the job done. Our initial enquiry was followed by various conversations concerning moving delays which were forced upon us. At all times the staff were extremely understanding and helpful.

The removals team were friendly and efficient. I approached three removal firms and the other two wanted to give me a quote over the phone. Your representative made arrangements to visit the property to do an assessment which was very accurate. We are elderly and we’re treated with the utmost respect and not patronised in any way.

Were not my 1st choice due to cost but due to the moving date being confirmed last minute the first company were booked, although £200 more, the vehicle used was more appropriate and the removal guys were brilliant so in the end the service was worth the extra money.

Moved 31/10/2019 Over 4 days of packing, 3 deliveries from store over 6 days we got to know the lads pretty well. All were courteous, knowledgeable and professional in their approach and execution. Price was competitive, and you were available. It was pity we had a breakage on the last item to be delivered from store … put a real damper on things for the crew especially. Think it affected them more than us. However, the breakage is being dealt with in a professional manner. Picked up a good vibe once you wanted it back to repair and not just abandoned to a local unknown supplier here.

This type of attitude was prevalent at EVERY stage of the process; whether it was Martin during the estimating etc, or Jacki during the booking process etc – but this professionalism is all the more important on the (potentially) most traumatic day of all. An “exceptional” team make a MAJOR difference over the merely “great” team. We were SO RELAXED because of their cheery disposition and professional manner, that we were able to go out and have a cup-of-coffee during the loading! Not many removals go that smoothly, and we have had quite few in our lifetime.  Who could fail to be impressed by the thoroughness of Martin Wilks and subsequently, Jacki in the office?  Outstandingly professional at EVERY step of the way.

We found the crew on Wednesday to pack and Thursday to move extremely helpful and were a pleasure to have around. We couldn’t have managed without them.

Moved from Hertfordshire to Perthshire. Jenni in the Aylesbury office was so much help when I had delay after delay resulting in having to cancel my booking on two separate occasions. The second time was after a very awkward and time specific booking was made and where the solicitor of one of the parties in the chain failed to get information to my solicitor on time resulting in my booking being given to someone else. 4 hours later I received the information and quickly called Jenni to ask if she could help in any way, and after an hour she called me to say she had managed to conjure up something. It meant I had 5 nights in hotels before my house contents could be delivered to my new property, but as I had to vacate the house I had sold by a specific date I was more than happy to do this. I met the delivery driver (Dale) spot on time and he was great also. The only small glitch in the entire moving experience was a delay of 1 1/2 hours waiting on the shuttle van arriving, they only had to travel about 60 miles from their depot, but still were late. That being said, the packing up, the transportation and the delivery of my goods was great. Everyone involved in this particular move was helpful in every way, but without the expert help of Jenni I dread to think what could have resulted. My sincere thanks to all concerned, and I certainly recommend the company. C. Monro.

Really great crew! We had some heavy items to move (dining table & sideboard) but they managed. They had a break whilst we finished packing up and waited 1/2 hour outside our new home until we arrived with the keys. Brilliant!

The Britannia Edinburgh team excelled!

I used the Edinburgh branch during my recent removal. The experience was very positive from the initial meeting to provide an estimate, the admin involved in the booking and re removal job itself. The packers were friendly, courteous and worked well together and very importantly, had a good sense of humour. which made the process a lot less stressful than it might have been. The packers arrived at the agreed time, at both the start and finish locations. The supervisor/driver agreed with each packer what they had to do and they got on with the job. All items were well packed and arrived in one piece. The team were very careful moving everything (furniture, including a piano and umpteen boxes) which involved up to 3 flights of stairs in one house and two in the other. At the delivery end the lorry was unable to get up to the house so a transshipment was involved, using a 3rd party company for the labour. Again the team worked well together and soon had the furniture and all the boxes where I wanted them and did as much unpacking as requested. Nothing was too much trouble for the teams at either location.

Thank you Britannia – I would certainly recommend Britannia for the efficiency, friendliness and professionalism I experienced throughout this job.

My 90+ year old patents are in the process of moving from Faversham in Kent to Torpoint Cornwall.
Yesterday was the first stage of the move. About 10 minutes before your team were due we receive a call from them to apologise as they had been held up in a local diversion. Very impressed with good old fashion courtesy.
The move was a difficult one with access being via a steep drive, narrow path and a set of narrow steps into the property. Never the less your wonderful cheery team worked like trojans in the sweltering heat. Refusing to stop for a drink as the job was a time demanding one coupled with they wanted to get my ageing parents on the road asap possible as it is a long journey. Both lads were chatty, courteous, and extremely helpful, hardworking guys.
The boys Marcus and Callum worked to well over 9pm stopping once for a cuppa. The boys went above and beyond want was expected and are a credit to your company.
Later today as they unload I will personally have the pleasure of knowing my patents are in safe caring hands. Well done to both boys.

Hi – In 2011 we used your company to ship our entire household to Massachusetts in the US. Many of the furniture and boxes you packed for us stayed in a basement until recently. After 6 years I worried that when I finally opened the boxes there would be mold on everything, or perhaps have breakages from being shoved around a basement from time to time. There was even a burst pipe a couple of years ago that left water damage on a few of the boxes. In December, we finally opened everything, and I am writing to let you know that everything was in pristine condition! Your employees packed everything so carefully, and the materials they used were excellent. I had antique furniture, many delicate objects, pictures, books. Everything came through and just needed the barest of wipes. I am so amazed and grateful that your company did such a brilliant job. I wanted to say that the moving experience was perfect. On the move day the three chaps were polite, very hard working and generally exceptional people. Moving house is a very stressful time and it’s also huge change. With the service you offered, the full packing and moving, this made everything a lot easier for us. The cost is obviously high, but in my opinion the result is worth it. The three chaps packed everything with care and attention, they moved the house content and packed it with skill. They gave it everything and were obviously tired at the end of the day so I got them energy drinks!

Then the unloading the next day in Hampshire, again, the chaps were smiling and polite, that’s so good to have happy people.

So overall, I am very happy with the move. Your staff really do deserve a reward, I should have given them a tip in retrospect! They were just fantastic and truly brilliant.

We will be using Britannia for our next move, hopefully that will not be soon, but you never know.

Your team of Jay, Adam, Terence and Kenny were outstanding! They worked unbelievably quickly and carefully and made light work of what I had expected to be troublesome issues; super king bed, very heavy garden statue etc. On arrival in Bath they rebuilt the beds and wardrobes and moved everything into locations we required. By working with them we were able to empty all of the boxes which they removed so that when they left there was hardly any tidying up to do.

All members of staff were very helpful and courteous over the two days. Lee appeared to take lead and was helpful in coordinating the move. It was worth paying for the cancellation waiver fee to reserve the date given the short time between exchange and completion – other companies did not offer this life saving option.

I have told friends particularly about the cancellation waiver fee to reserve a moving date given the unhelpfulness of solicitors in dragging out the conveyancing process until the very last minute. The fee appears to be a unique selling point for Britannia Turnbulls.

As you are aware over the last couple of days I have had my home packed up ready for shipment to UK, and I would like to give some feedback of the experience.

I wish to commend all the staff at Britannia Brytons that I have come into contact with for the professional and helpful manner in which each stage has proceeded. Firstly starting with Adele, who came to my home and quoted/interpreted my needs so clearly and promptly I thank you. Next Kelly who has been most helpful and informative with the administration, thank you. Then I had the pleasure of meeting the team headed by William, the team were Gideon, Thomas and Innocent, these guys were efficient, professional and friendly for the two days packing in an orderly manner, with respect and humour, I thank you guys; then day 2 when transport/ shuttling goods to the large truck we met an additional part of the team, headed by Jacob with Melulilie(?) and Peter who slotted in as the others very helpful and efficient. Today Bob and I went to the warehouse to see where and how the goods were to be stored and again I was impressed by the efficiency of the warehouse staff headed up by Dixon. Finally we met with Clara who explained how the next stage will proceed very clearly. I fully anticipate the next two stages of the whole exercise proceeding with the same clockwork efficiency.

We have just completed our move out of Harpenden to Athelstaneford and we wanted to say how great the service has been from Britannia. From start to finish the operation was smooth and efficient and made us feel confident.

The team who arrived for the packing day last Monday was superb and worked incredibly hard and efficiently. The team was led by Dale who was a great character and put in a huge effort throughout the day. The packing, which was expected to take 2 days, was done in one long and hardworking day. The delivery and unloading at Athelstaneford was similarly efficient and professional. In fact, it was completed by 3.30pm on Wednesday. This gave us a great opportunity to unpack and get the house in good order in a very short time which suited us perfectly.

The team who turned up on the Tuesday to pack and part load the van were so helpful and this continued into the Wednesday when we moved into our new flat. Just to underline what I said on the phone about how pleased we were with the whole moving process due to the efficiency and courteousness of the crew who did the job for us over the days 23-25th May – Peter, Davey, Willie, Steven and Paul. Our house move this week went like a dream! The packing and the move was the easiest we have ever experienced! Dan, Carl and Johnny worked hard withour complaint but with courtesy and humour and we couldn’t have asked for more….Thank you doesn’t seem quite enough!

Moving is a very stressful time. But Britannia were marvellous. They were polite, helpful and under difficult circumstances moved me with great efficiency. I would definitely recommend Thomas Casserley Chirk and use them again.

All the men that packed us from Wales couldn’t! Have bee more helpful. Dave and Arran who delivered our goods to Otley were extremely efficient, courteous and couldn’t do enough for us and both asked independently if there was anything else they could do before leaving. it will take us a couple of weeks to unpack, but up to now everything has come out of the packaging intact, all of which have been well wrapped. Britannia offered a service which was up and beyond anything i was expecting, the removal men that attended our house were professional, kind, caring, smart and very through, and didn’t stop unless i gave them a drink and made them. They loaded and unloaded very quickly and nothing was too much trouble for them. They took down a king size bed and corner wardrobe and erected it at the other end, TV, Mattresses etc were neatly wrapped in blankets and everything arrived undamaged, in previous years of using other firms, items have either been broken or scratched but Britannia took extra care in not damaging any belongings, which to me is very important. The office staff couldn’t do enough when a call was made, nothing was too much for them and they were very polite. Once we had un-packed, a call was made and the boxes were collected in record time so they weren’t hanging around. I would defiantly recommend using Amanda who offers a great service on behalf of Utility warehouse. Not only does she attended your home address but she will make contact regular and will save you money on your bills, she’s professional, kind, funny, explains everything you need to know in English and not in cooperate jargon, and reliable. Over all Britannia is a company that is family orientated and they will go up and beyond any other removal company. They are competitive but you pay for a 5* service that is delivered. Thank you all at Britannia, you made our house move so less stressful. Keep up the good work.

My husband and I would like to say thanks to the guys from Britannia Caledonian who moved us from Scotland to Cornwall. 

Barry and Jamie and their two colleagues who pitched up on 31 October were cheerful, hard-working, efficient and took the greatest of care with our belongings. 

Alan, who drove the lorry down was also absolutely great.  We felt really sorry for him – what a long drive but he was still smiling and so pleasant to deal with.  Unfortunately we organised some really lousy weather for Alan which made the job of unloading a bit more difficult and it all took longer because proceedings had to come to a halt when the rain was particularly heavy.
We have unpacked just about 50% of the stuff – it’s entertaining trying to fit our belongings into rooms that are slightly smaller and have no cupboards!

Due special praise would be Ian who took apart and reassembled our Ikea bed with much determination especially at the Caerphilly end due to not having the right allan key he had used one vince had when up in Stoke – he really did go that extra mile when he could so easily have said sorry he did not have time or could not have done it and I would have understood.

It was an extremely efficient service from the outset. I am one of life’s wingers to be honest. Always amazed at he lack of service that we seem to get these days. However, the flip side is that I am also very pleased to receive good service and Casserlys Britannia exceeded my expectations. The first visit was made by a very personable chap who explained the service extremely well. He offered advice where needed and introduced the company well. I also called in to see the office staff to collect a box or two and found them to be very friendly and helpful. Finally, the boys arrived on the day of the move on time and set to the task with great gusto. I think it is fair to say that nothing was too much bother for them and they went beyond what was expected. In short, a great group of lads who supplied a great service. I’m hoping we don’t need your services again as I have promised to stay put this time. However, I would certainly recommend you to others. I would also like to say that we have moved house many times and I have never used a removal company. They worked very, very hard and barely stopped all day – they were absolute stars! They started at 8 45 and didn’t finish until early evening. I expected a larger crew so that the move wouldn’t take as long (I felt sorry for the 2 men having to shift all my stuff on their own!).

Courteous, friendly service before the move and a competitive quote. Huge thanks to the blokes who moved us!!!!

Second and consecutive time I have used your service. Your chap Mark assisted me on both occasions his experience and professionalism was outstanding – this chap is a credit to your organisation and the single most important reason why I will choose you again in 4 months’ time. Might I add his assistant was also outstanding.

Just a short note to say thank you for such an efficient removal from 13 St mary’s Road, Little Haywood, St18 0NJ to Plana Dubh, Lochcarron,IV54 8ya.

In particular i wish to thank Nathan and I think his name was Tim for their efforts up at Lochcarron. They were absolutely brilliant especially as some of the items were difficult to get into the house (size of doorways). They had a can do attitude and I cannot fault them at all.

You probably don’t remember us but you moved our belongings from 20 Longview Close, Longton, S-o-T in Sept 2010 to Tasmania, Australia.

Our belongings arrived quite quickly and had to be put into storage locally until we had a house to put them into.

Well it is now almost 3 years ago and we have just moved into our newly built house here in Sorell, Tasmania. We have only just now slowly started to unpack and place our belongings into their new home.

We have both been totally amazed and extremely pleased with your services. The 3 guys who packed up all our belongings did a wonderful job and I hope that you can pass on our heartfelt thanks to them for their professional care and attention to our treasured belongings.

I’ve just realised that we didn’t email to thank you and your team for a very smooth and happy house move. Terry and the gang were extremely helpful and efficient, as were Mark and his helper who came back with the storage boxes. Moving house is very stressful but they helped to make it less so.

It will be some time before we can get the remainder of the boxes back to you, I’m afraid, as we’re still trying to find room for everything – always a problem with a down-size but we’ll do it as soon as soon as we can. I hope that’s OK with you.

This is just a brief note to thank you for a superb move. Our container arrived here on Monday (27 May), having left our house in Shaldon on 10 April. It was not held up for an inspection and there were no further costs for delivery this end even though the truck and container stayed on the street outside rather than risk our driveway.

I must compliment the work of your packers, who did an amazing job — I hadn’t really registered at the time just how well packed everything was, but some things, notably paintings and prints, were better packed for this move than for any previous international move. Not one item was broken or damaged — a record for us — so my sincere thanks and congratulations to the team.

You will also be very happy to hear that we had a wonderful experience of New Zealand Movers, too. The Auckland office people were helpful, the Hamilton office people went the extra mile printing out forms and photocopying for us, and the delivery team were absolutely superb. They were polite, good humoured, extremely hard working, competent, efficient, professional, and uncomplaining — Wow! — What a contrast with a previous experience (in the UK, I’m sorry to say) where our ‘stuff’ from Australia was delivered by movers from hell who were rude, unhelpful, patronising and full of complaints. That team didn’t unpack anything, whereas the New Zealand Movers team just quietly got on with unpacking all our furniture and putting it together, and even asked if we wanted anything moved around. I was very, very impressed and very grateful for the head start they gave us on getting this house organised the way we want it.

Our first (and last!!) home move in 32 years was for us a traumatic and stressful experience and two weeks after moving in we are still encountering quite a few problems and are far from unpacked or organised.  In the process, we have had to deal with a considerable number of people and agencies we do not normally encounter and have been dismayed at the lack of reliability – never available, never returning calls, not turning up when they said they would etc.

I meant to contact you earlier but have been very tied up! I wanted to thank Goodwins for your excellent service on our recent move to Scotland from Leek. The lads, Vincent and Nathan, were great throughout the three days they were working for us. Nothing was too much trouble, they were good humoured even when it poured with rain towards the end of coming in at this end and they treated our possessions with care and respect. A slightly panicky phone call the day after we moved about a small missing box was thought through and they were able to point us to the right, very unlikely place, where it had ended up.

My wife and I were most impressed by the way our difficult move was handled by both your office and also the people carrying out the packing, loading and subsequent delivery. Somthing that is so rare these days, we felt we were, at all stages, being treated like valued customers and the service throughout, from initial enquiry, to accommodating our needs, to the actual carrying out the move, was frankly faultless.

A special mention is the men who carried out the actual operation. Without exception they were courteous and extremely hard working. Bob managed the team brilliantly and he and Mark amazingly drove to Cornwall in the two lorries and offloaded everything into various rooms here the next daywih good humour despite there just being the two of them. They worked tirelessly as indeed the packers and loaders did initially.

You appear to have a great team of people at Britannia.

We have not unpacked everything yet but everything we have unpacked is undamaged.

We would certainly recommend Britannia who made the physical move so much less stressful than we had expected and that is because of the confident way your people went about the process and immediately instilled confidence in us.

Just a wee note to say how tremendously pleased I am with the fabulous service I have received all along the way for my Nova Scotia-bound container from Scotland.

The packing by Greers was second to none. The specially constructed wooden crate worked a dream for the chaise longue and the mirror. There was not a mark on anything and the boxes were absolutely as I had last seen them in the Highlands!!

The sea container itself which was transported to me in Antigonish this morning by Halifax Transfer seemed to be brand new. All items were delivered perfectly this morn at my new address in Antigonish, Nova Scotia – thanks to the tremendous work by John Walsh and his chaps at Halifax Transfer. John really went the extra mile to get my customs clearance sorted this week in Halifax, meeting me and taking me to and fro' Canadian Customs. I cannot thank him enough for the special personal service he gives this end – to ensure the whole process is completed absolutely smoothly.

I wish to sincerely thank all at Goodwins. My initial calls to Catherine and Jan were extremely well handled and their pleasant manner is so refreshing. Robert came out to do the quote and he was equally as helpful and friendly. I had four quotes and Goodwins were the most competitive. All my emails were answered quickly and efficiently.

Due to having major back problems I opted for the packing service and that was superb. I would HIGHLY recommend this even though it is a bit extra is well worth it with the stress of moving. Many thanks to Vince for all his hard work with all the packing. He worked so hard all day.

The Removal team, i.e. Lee, Ant and Dean filled us with confidence as soon as we met them. Their organisational skills are outstanding and I admire them for their sheer unrelenting hard work. How they got our entire house, garage, two sheds and garden items into a van in four hours I still find difficult to comprehend! They work together like a well oiled machine. Respect to them all. They then unloaded it all into a 3 storey house in even less time putting everything in its place superbly.

Every single item reached our new address just as it left, even down to a pack of 12 eggs in the fridge, not one break!!! In our opinion they all went well over and above their responsibilities and we are genuinely very thankful as until that point the whole buying/selling process in a chain had been a complete nightmare. The initial move into storage went without a hitch and your willingness to allow us to put additional things into the containers was a great help to us. The final delivery to France went as smoothly as the first, the guys arrived in good time, were in communication during their journey so I knew exactly what time they would arrive and upon arrival they were friendly and efficient despite it being one of the hottest days of the year. A big thank you to all the team.

The move went to plan, no breakages and everything seems to have come with me. I did have a panic when I couldn't find a few things after we had emptied all of the boxes. However, we found what we were missing by pure chance in a bedside table that has been put in the guest room.

Your team of packers/movers were very helpful. I have no complaints. I even spoilt them with coffee and posh biscuits!!

They were amazing and if you could pass on my thanks to Dean and Nathan and the other man (who helped packed on the Friday but whose name I never got sorry.) They were fast and efficient but also so patient – even when the access to the Bristol property proved such a nightmare they had to bring everything through the garden. I know the move was organised through the BBC but I wanted you to know I would happily recommend Britannia to anyone thinking of moving and also would not hesitate to use you independently of the company myself.

Now I am nearly settled and sorted out in my new home, I must say a big, big thank you to all your men for the calm and efficient way they did my packing on Monday after the last minute problem, it was strange living among my boxes for a day but when your men arrived on the Wednesday they finished the last of the packing and loaded up the lorry and I left Cornwall.

Unloading was not very easy, as there was no easy entrance to the building except through the fire door, this achieved, your men moved everything into my flat and we had some tea etc before they left, these two men must have been very, very tired I do hope they arrived back safely.

Thank you to the young man who drove me in my car to my new home I do hope I didn't bore him with my non-stop chatter Sorry!!

You yourself have been brilliant and most helpful and understanding in dealing with my move. 

The removal men Davy, Allan, Paul, Marti and James were all amazing.  Davy worked so hard packing all day on Thursday and was so polite and non-invasive considering he had to go through things in every room in the house.  A really good guy with a fantastic attitude to his work.   On Friday when Allan and Paul arrived with Davy they were so good natured that they made the whole thing seem much less stressful; nothing was ever deemed to be a problem and any difficulties were dealt with quickly and efficiently.  I am so sorry there was so much stuff crammed into every corner corner of the flat, they really did have a tough job!  Later when Marti and James arrived all five men worked relentlessly until very late, until the job was done.  They were all fantastic and kept my spirits up even though they were doing all of the work.  Marti who was at the end of the unloading chain (so actually carrying the stuff inside the new house) was such a lovely man and was extremely kind and helpful.  Nothing was too much trouble, all the while working extremely hard and efficiently.

They were just a fantastic bunch of guys and I cannot thank them all enough for making the move the smoothest I've ever experienced – and I've moved home at least 10 times!  I can only apologise again for making their job so difficult because I had so much stuff squirrelled away!   They deserve a massive bonus!

I would be grateful if you would forward this email on to the appropriate managers and the guys themselves and please let tell them how much I truly appreciate everything they did on Thursday and Friday.

I will be recommending Britannia to anyone I know who is moving home.

We are more than happy to give you feedback on our move. Both Jon and Dean were very good during the whole move. They turned up at Poole at the agreed time and took the time and trouble to deal with our contents with efficiency and consideration. On arrival at Middlezoy they again took time and trouble to ensure that furniture was placed where we wanted it. When we want it moving to a different room they did this with out complaint and with a professional manner.

When we looked at using a Removal company in the area we looked at quite a few and particularly at what others said about them. Your quote was about middle of the road of those we went to but it was the customer comments that really decided who we chose as well of course as your company being part of BAR. Goodwins Removals were employed to move all our possessions 220 miles from Cheshire to Norfolk. Though the challenge throughout the moving day was to somehow fit everything on the vehicle, the team of movers were always polite, friendly and always seemed to take excellent care of all items from the smallest to the largest. Dear Britannia Movers,

Back on the 8th February, a group of 3 guys helped move my parents back to their home after fire damage last year.  It has been a bumpy ride and finally the date came for your removal people to help re-pack and move (in half a day) a whole 3 bed-roomed house!  Unfortunately I don't have their names but I know of at least one person who helped pack up the sodden, water and fire-damaged contents back in May and move to temporary accommodation – only to be there on the return!!

Thank you so much for the constant communication, friendly, happy staff who work for Britannia. It has been a memorable 9 months and should I ever need a removals company – I'll know where to come!

The move from Cornwall was not good; the move from Cornwall was not good, it was utterly BRILLIANT! -(repeat) – it was utterly BRILLIANT!

Our warmest and greatest THANKS to Rob and Mike and Steve for being so kind, courteous, considerate, helpful, understanding AND never forgetting their objective!

I was slightly concerned at getting out on the 30th January – but we achieved it and departed by 5.00pm on that day – leaving for Surrey. We owned this house at 11.45am on 31st January and allowed the exiting owners another two days to clear out their sheds and garage!!!??!! (One can be so kind!!)

It was now an easy move – but Lanes never forgot their objectives and how to get there and how to achieve it. THANK YOU. THANK YOU.

So Rob and Mike had better be there for the move out of storage because they know how to steer between two tight gates!

I am writing to you to give you some feedback re my family's move from Addlestone in Surrey to Whitland during the week beginning 5th September.

I have used your company on four previous occasions (two for us and two for relations, three times from Hounslow and once from Newhaven) and after the first occasion I have never asked for a quote from any other company. I also knew this time that the move would be especially difficult due to the bulk of items that were being transferred from both our fields in Horsell and our home in Addlestone so I contacted Robin Johnston at your Andover branch. Robin came to estimate and was fantastic, very analytical and totally professional with very constructive advice and he has supported us and our move, despite its size and general difficulties, at every stage. We ended up using two full road trains duly filled by Rob, Dan and Aidey and they also couldn't do enough to ensure we were satisfied with our move and their patience and humour gently brought us through the four days of moving. I can honestly say that as a result of using your company again there was no stress involved in our move: a huge credit to you all.

I just wanted to let you know that our shipment arrived here on Monday 14th November.  The company here were very good, they came here for 3 days to unpack and take away the packing, I then said to leave the rest as I need to sort out some storage areas for some of the things. They told me that when I was ready to just ring them and they would come and collect any boxes/packing and take it away for me.

I want to say thank you to Appleyards for the good job they did in packing all my worldly goods into the container in Sheffield and to pass on the praise of the men here who said what a good job you had done with the packing, they were very impressed.

I would say that I would use you again but after the past 3 days I do not intend ever moving again!!  But I would certainly recommend you to anyone who I know needs this sort of thing.

My father, Tony Harrap, and I would like to say a special thank you to your firm as moving can be one of the most stressful things and this move wasn't! Your colleagues are extremely polite and well-trained and we had a great deal of fun and laughter with the move. Ron started us off well with all the breakables packing and so far we haven't found anything broken, so well done to him.  I'm writing to thank you all, and especially Dan, Matt and Shaun, for the excellent service with our recent move. Although we were moving locally, we had been in our old house for 15 years and it was a huge upheaval for us.

We felt very supported by your customer care and excellent service throughout. I initially chose Britannia because Keith was the only surveyor who (a) went into our loft to estimate the volume of contents and (b) noticed that we had a large understairs cupboard. We felt the quote was very accurate and the information he gave us was extremely helpful (especially the moving house checklist).

The day before the move, Dan, Matt and Shaun arrived at 9.30 precisely (even though we had agreed 9.30 to 10 and they had a long journey to reach our house), were already aware that we had a hospital appointment for our daughter, and we could not believe the speed and efficiency with which they worked to pack our belongings. Over the two days, they worked incredibly hard, were very polite, cheerful, friendly and helpful.

We would also like to thank them for the care they took with all our belongings – we have almost finished unpacking and everything has been beautifully packed and cared for. We are delighted that our move went so easily and would like to send you all a huge thank you. We have no plans to move again at present but have been recommending you to our family and friends.

Hello Matt, We hope that you are well and that by the time you read this e-mail you will have had a good Bank Holiday weekend (weather included) . Just to let you know that our container arrived here on the 19th of August and last Tuesday (23rd) we went to Customs with Mahe shipping and cleared all our stuff within an hour and transported it up to our house. A belated thank you for all your assistance in arranging the shipment of our goods to Brisbane, also to your staff for their work at Ash Close. They were very efficient and as unintrusive as they could possibly be in the circumstances! Your advice re customs and Quarantine stood us in good stead. They inspected at least 50% of our packages but were satisfied that there was nothing that required any treatment or would not be allowed through.


With the flooding that Brisbane experienced in January you will probably understand that we had a few anxious days wondering if the ship and our container had been diverted elsewhere when the port was closed, whether it was floating on the dockside or worse, in Moreton Bay! However, everything was delivered safely on the 27th and we are feeling a lot more settled now that we are surrounded by our own possessions.
