Moving away from the sea, Whitstable is located only a couple of miles away from the historic Canterbury which you can easily get to by bus, car or if you fancy a bike ride, the famous Crab and Winkle way links the two.

For a small town Whitstable is well connected:

  • Trains: With its own train station, with services to Margate, Faversham and London – if needed Canterbury has two mainline stations.
  • Buses: There is a bus to Canterbury every half hour.
  • Driving: By road, Whitstable is easily accessed from the M2 via the A299. With great access routes, it is only 20 minutes to Canterbury, 30 minutes to Margate, the M25 in 45 minutes.
