Where to move to in Hastings?
Hastings has a variety of properties on offer. Flats are the most popular property type, but there are plenty of larger homes too.
The Old Town is full of character with cottages, terraced townhouses, and winding passageways. This area also gives easy access to the independent boutiques, pubs and other amenities in this part of town.
Martineau Lane on the eastern outskirts of town has prime, large, detached properties with plenty of land. Close by here is Hastings Country Park nature reserve and many other countryside walks.
Blacklands to the north of the town offers better access to the amenities in town but still keeping to a residential area. Here you’ll find affordable three- and four-bedroom homes, with detached and semi-detached properties. There are a number of popular primary and secondary schools in this location, making it a great choice for families.
Transport links Hastings
Hastings is popular with commuters to London and Brighton, thanks to the town’s great transport links. This includes by rail, with regular services to London, Brighton, and Ashford. Trains to London take an hour and a half and to Brighton takes an hour and fifteen minutes.
The A259 road runs along the coastline through Hastings and the A21 travels north through the town. Driving to Brighton from Hastings takes and hour and a half and to Eastbourne takes 45 minutes.
There are a number of bus stops across the town. Bus services include routes to St Helens, Hollington, St Leonards, and Rye.
