House Removals Polegate
Until Polegate installed its railway line in the 1840s, the area was a small settlement in the parish of Hailsham. The Roman road from Pevensey to Lewes passed through here, and the turnpike between London and Eastbourne was developed in the 18th century. The opening of the railway between Lewes and Hastings, later branching to Eastbourne or Hailsham, encouraged growth for Polegate.
Polegate is gradually becoming an extension of Eastbourne due to its close proximity. However, with the South Downs on the doorstep and Polegate Windmill bequeathing the horizon, it still retains its countryside charm.
With the Britannia Beckwith office located in East Sussex, moving to Polegate could not be easier. The Newhaven warehouse is just west of Polegate, and there we can also offer container storage or self-storage, whatever suits your needs.
