First time buyers wanting to purchase a home in Leigh will benefit from the countless two bed terraced homes on the market for between £45,000 and £60,000. Shell out a minimum of £70,000 and secure a three-bed terrace. Transport Links Leigh

Leigh sits within a triangle of motorways, the M62 to the south, the M6 to the west and the M61 in the east. Getting into central Manchester via car can be achieved, but traffic in and out of the city during rush hour can be a nightmare. It is best to hop on one of a selection of bus services that connects Leigh to the city or utilise the Metrolink Park & Ride service at Ladywell.

Leigh does not have a train station of it but the nearest is Hag Fold station, just 3 miles away. The 582 bus stops just shy of the station. During off-peak hours Monday to Saturday there is one train per hour to Manchester Victoria and Blackburn via Todmorden. Northbound there is one service per hour to Wigan Wallgate and Kirby. There are extra trains during peak hours.
