Great customer service from start to finish. Used them 25 years ago and they're still as good today ! Office team were great accomodating our ever changing needs and on the day the removals team were fantastic, even though there were delays due to solicitors. Highly recommended.

Great service. Totally understanding of the challenges and stress during a big house move. Ours was to a new property 200+ miles away - but their knowledge and care made the removal a LOT easier to deal with.

The removal staff on the day were courteous and helpful. They kept us informed at every step so we knew their arrival times at the properties.

With just a few days between exchange and completion, we were lucky to secure Britannia Lanes as our removal company. All the staff we dealt with were professional, helpful and friendly - particularly Cheri, who was our initial contact and Callum, the foreman who oversaw the whole move. They all worked hard to make the move as smooth and stress-free as possible and we would absolutely recommend their services.

Company very understanding and helpful with the problems we had prior to the move. On moving day the men were cheerful and, with us being of advanced years, extremely helpful, kind and polite. Nothing was too much trouble. I would thoroughly recommend this company to help see you through an stressful time.

We were absolutely delighted with the service we received from Brittania particularly with the two people who worked their socks off on the day. Both Jamie & Tony were exceptional in our opinion and nothing was too much trouble for them. It made our move less stressful due to their eye for detail and making sure everything went where we needed it too go. They were very cheerful and full of enthusiasm which made us less worried for the day ahead, they communicated everything to us in simple to understand language. We were worried that it was an awful lot for two people and even though they never once showed it, we think Brittania would have been better served with an extra pair of hands.

Absolutely amazing team, very courteous, and helpful from the initial enquiry right up to the removal and move to our new home. Leighton and his Team were so good, staying late to finish the job. I would highly recommend the company, they made it a lot less stressful than it could have been.

What a brilliant company! We were provisionally booked with another company but when my wife called them 7 days before the move they said they now could not carry out the move on 29th May. We would have to wait until 9th June! Simply not possible as completion was 29th. We called a number of companies with no success. Then we remembered Britannia Lanes had given us a quote 12 months previously but that sale fell through and we had decided to accept a cheaper quote. I spoke with Joel at Britannia who immediately said yes they would help us out. It was a massive relief. The whole team worked seamlessly to carry out the move perfectly. Special thanks to Tony who managed the move throughout. .

We are so pleased that Britannia Lanes (Exeter) were able to move us from our family home of 24 years into our new home. After so many years we had accumulated a huge array of furniture/ items and if I’m honest the thought of leaving was at the very least daunting.
Rob came to our property to review our move. He was incredibly professional and helpful. Explained the process thoroughly and calculated the volume of our items exactly. He then provided what we considered to be a very reasonable quotation.
Our potential moving date changed approximately 5 times, on each occasion we contacted their office to discuss the change of dates. Again these staff were wonderful, very helpful doing everything they could to assist us.
Due to the size of our property it was agreed that the best course of action was to complete the move over two days. Tony and Josh the Britannia removal men arrived early, introduced themselves, they were extremely friendly, professional and very hard working. In essence fantastic representatives of Britannia Lanes. Whilst Josh and Tony also concluded our move the following day, due to receiving the keys late on the day of completion they were joined by other members of the team that were equally professional.
Britannia Lanes from start to finish were fantastic virtually removing the stress of moving house. We would not hesitate to use their services again or indeed recommend them .

During a very stressful time of 2 floods (2023) and incompetent builders (instructed by the insurance company/loss adjuster), Britannia Lanes came in, swept up all our possessions and then returned them, intact, 13 months later.

Probably the only thing that went well with the whole situation.

The employees were polite and reassuring.

The office made it very easy to organise a 3 stage move across the country during a very busy (end of stamp duty holiday) period. Competitively priced with excellent communications throughout.
The crew (led by Leyton and Tarrick) were exceptional - incredibly careful in loading, protecting everything, quick, efficient and polite/courteous. Highly recommended and we would definitely use again.

From start to finish we had outstanding service and help from everyone at Britannia Lanes. Michael Foulger came for the initial survey and was very thorough clear and professional in what he did and took time and trouble to explain how the removal would work. The detailed inventory which resulted was most helpful.
Like many other people we had a number of difficulties with scheduling our move. These were partly caused by the very busy period resulting from the rush to beat the stamp duty deadline but we also had significant uncertainty over finalising our date for exchange of contracts and completion. This meant that we had to contact you frequently with questions about the move and about possible rescheduling and storage. In every case we got straight through to your office and Cheri and her colleagues were very quick to recognise our case and to connect us to appropriate colleagues to deal with the situation. In particular your schedulers were most helpful and were very flexible and understanding. This meant that our move took place on the day it was scheduled in spite of last minute legal delays which would otherwise have caused delay and significantly increased costs.
Every member of the packing and removal teams who worked on the four days of our move was unfailingly helpful, friendly and efficient. Their capacity for hard work was hugely impressive. We would like to thank them all but particularly Billy who did much of the packing and Michael who was in charge of the teams and whose understanding and knowledge made sure that the process was a smooth and trouble free as it possibly could be.

Excellent service! From the beginning to the end. We had asked for everything to be packed and transported for us to our new home. They came and took care of the everything. Packed all our belongings, labelled them (which made is super easy for us when unboxing), loaded all the boxes as well as all the furniture. The guys were really friendly and helpful. They carefully placed all the boxes in our new house.
We would definitely recommend Britannia Lanes and we will use them again in the future if needed.

An excellent, friendly service both in the office and from the team who worked hard through the rain to move our belongings. We've moved 11 times in the last 20 years and Britannia Lanes were easily the friendliest team. We've found no damage in our belongings as we've unpacked.

Britannia Lanes of Devon were excellent from start to finish for our move from the South West to the East Midlands. Our completion date was just before the Christmas shutdown and the team split the removal over a number of days to make sure it could take place. Packing was done efficiently and cheerfully and due to a member of the team being taken ill, Kallum (who is an absolute star), made the delivery on his own. He then had a local guy to help him unpack but still had to drive for nearly an hour each way to pick him up and take him home. He is a credit to the company, always cheerful and going above and beyond. Everyone that we dealt with was very friendly and really seemed to want to get the move sorted for us. Hopefully we're never moving again, but if we had to we'd definitely go with Britannia who have also managed an overseas move for us in the past. Thank you.

I booked Britannia Lanes after receiving a few different quotes. I chose this company even though they weren't the cheapest but because of the service and communication received from day one. It was a difficult move as I had to organise my elderly mum's relocation from Somerset to Stafford . From survey through to removal was free from any hitches. The initial surveyor made my mum at ease and the removal team on the day Callum and Harvey were absolutely amazing. They took great care of my mum's possessions and were both friendly and proffesional. They took time to introduce themselves , explain the process and just made a difficult situation as stress free as possible. Would highly recommend.

Only service willing to squeeze us in 3 days before Xmas, the lady in office Lynn was fabulous and moved things very quickly for us via signable electronic emails as we had no time at all, she was fantastic and commutation with her was brilliant, the two gents they sent on day with van to do removals were also fabulous they worked together brilliantly, did above and beyond, making sure everything was put in rooms convenient for us, so polite and even made effort to talk to my grandad, 86 yrs whom really appreciated them making him feel at ease, can’t thank them and firm enough, 5 stars all the way fantastic

Ours was a challenging move, right across the country and with some heavy workshop machinery but the team coped well and always stayed polite, friendly and positive.

Took (pre ordered) bags filled with documents for shredding to exeter site. All very efficient.

Over the last 2 days, Jim and Adey from Britannia Movers have provided the most professional move I have ever had the pleasure to be a part of. They arrived in perfect order and with dozens of options to wrap, protect, and safely move our treasured possessions across the country.

The move-in location was up 2 flights of stairs. They took no shortcuts, and made sure each item was carefully put in place, with zero damage to any item or the surrounding infrastructure.

Totally lovely guys and a credit to the industry and the company. Exactly the kind of people you hope show up to move your life, it reduced the stress 1000%, they even left with a smile and the same cheery chat they arrived with.

This was my second removal with Britannia Lanes of Devon. On both occasions I cannot fault the quality and efficiency of the service received at all stages of the process and from personnel with a wide range of roles. The removal crew members are to be commended both on their expert skills in packing and moving furniture etc and on their interpersonal skills with customers.

Highly recommended. I stored my stuff here for 2 years and would definitely use this company again. The building is in a good location not far from the city centre, secure, clean and has 24 hour access. Padlocks, packaging, boxes etc, are available to buy from the office. I also hired a van from the same company for a very reasonable price online. The staff are very helpful. Mr Parr is ace!

I had to hire a Luton van last week. Britannia lanes was one of the first few to come up on Google. So glad I found them as they were absolutely brilliant all the way through. The website is easy and tells you all you need to know. Robert Parr was a very professional and friendly guy, and he helped me through the whole van hire process. He is an absolute gentleman and a great asset to Britannia. Will definitely be hiring from them again and recommending them too.

We just used Britannia Lanes of Devon to move house and it was a great experience. From the initial communications with Millie in the office, through the survey and to the move itself. They loaded the lorry the day before and collected the final few essentials the following morning for the move to the new home. Amazing organization from everyone. The guys working on the trucks were so quick and efficient. Every one of them was polite, friendly and hard working. Can't fault anyone or anything about the service. I hired a box lorry from them to move house. When the vehicle had a mechanical issue the team at Britannia acted immediately to provide me another vehicle, then they moved my things between vehicles for me and offered me a discount for the trouble.

I would certainly recommend and will use them myself next time I need a vehicle.

Can’t speak highly enough of our experience with Brittania’s self drive vehicle hire!
Fantastic service from start to finish. Robert was very helpful from the initial enquiry right through to returning the deposit. Van was ready promptly which was brilliant as we had a busy day.
The van was spotless and had a full tank of fuel, full inspection given as well as instruction on tail lift working which was a really easy operation.
We were able to return the vehicle in the early hours of the morning and leave the keys in a night safe. My only gripe was that I wasn’t able to return the vehicle in the same condition which we received it due to horrendous weather conditions through the day.
Very professional, affordable, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or use you again.

We used Lanes of Devon for a long distance move from the Midlands down to Cornwall last summer (with just 2 weeks notice) and they could not have been more accommodating. The teams that loaded and delivered were friendly, professional and treated everything with the greatest of care.

Planned to use BL Truro for our move from the Midlands to Cornwall, but they had availability problems around the time we needed. So BL Exeter stood in to help out.
The move itself went very well. Joe and Aaron came from Exeter to pack, load & drive to Cornwall. A couple of guys from Truro helped them unload at the Cornwall end.
A painless move. Joe & Aaron were great from start to end, and the Truro guys friendly & helpful too. Would happily recommend them.

Excellent experience in using Brittania Lanes of Devon for our recent move to East Yorkshire. Michael the assessor visited to quote, booking team responded quickly to my queries. It was a 3 day move. Removal team(Billy, Arron, Chris, Dan and Joe) were very efficient and despite having to negotiate 35 steps to empty house to removal lorry they retained a sense of humour. Delivery was delayed due to mechanical issues and accidents on M5 however we were kept informed. Joe and Arron delivered our belongings to our new home which thankfully was on the flat for them! Would be happy to recommend the team. PS. We've stocked up on biscuits should Arron ever be this way again lol.

Just had 3 days packing and moving out of a large 7 bedroom Torquay house. Then all delivered by two containers to new house in Trowbridge in under 6 hours of moving boxes and furniture and pictures.. The guys were very diligent in their wrapping and packing with three floors to clear. They all worked very hard especially when unloading up a long path then up steps to new place and offloading into 10 rooms.. The team were very professional and polite. A pleasure to work with. Brittania Lanes of Exeter should be very proud of all their team that helped us. Thanks very much. We now have weeks of unboxing and swapping things about!! We can highly recommend others using this great team. We also had great fun celebrating one of the team who turned 21 today.

Such helpful and fast service! The lovely man on reception was so helpful and processed everything so quickly. The van was in a good condition and we had so much space, value for money was amazing! Would 100% recommend and would use again!
