Transport Links Swansea

The A483 connects Swansea directly to the M4 which spans all the way east into England and onto London. En route it passes through important locations such as Newport, Bristol, Swindon and Reading. The M4 is the key commuting route for those who travel into England for business from Swansea.

Swansea railway station has four platforms and is looked after by Arriva Trains Wales. The city is the western terminus for Great Western Railway services from London Paddington which call at Reading, Bristol and Swindon. There is also a service to Cardiff which allows for connecting trains to Taunton, Southampton Central, Portsmouth Harbour, Birmingham New Street and Manchester Piccadilly.

Westbound services from Swansea station head to Carmarthen, Pembroke Dock, Milford Haven and Fishguard Harbour.
